How about a tall glass of Coke Milk? It’s not what you’re imagining—if you’re imagining a glass of cloudy brown liquid, half Coke and half milk. (Ewww…)
There’s actually no Coke in Coke Milk. It’s plain old milk — except it’s supposed to be healthier. The new drink, called Fairlife, goes through the same process that turns whole milk into skim milk. It gets filtered. The filters separate the different parts of milk. They remove the milk’s sugar—lactose—which causes Fairlife to have 50% more protein than regular milk.
Fairlife will cost twice as much as regular milk. Sandy Douglas, president of Coca-Cola North America, said it’s the type of product that “rains money.” People are already making fun of the idea. To many, it doesn’t sound very natural. What do you think? Is Fairlife too different from God’s original creation—regular cow’s milk? Would you try it?
