What do you do when your freezer runs out of walrus?

Walruses can weigh as much as 2,700 pounds each. They taste like beef. Native Alaskans love to eat walrus. In fact, they depend on walrus meat for survival in winter.

But lately, Alaskan hunters are finding fewer and fewer of the animals. Ice clusters block hunters from the sea where the walruses live. As the oceans warm, the animals move farther north.

Hunters may soon have to go out to hunt walruses earlier in the year. Times have changed. Hunters must change too.

For everything there is a season. – Ecclesiastes 3:7
