We shared a game to make up a cryptid of your own. (See page 5 in your July/August 2026 WORLDkids magazine.) You shared your creatures with us!

Above is a cryptid from Lucas S., age 8 1/2.

Luke G.

from the Stevers family

It does not stay in one place but moves around. It finds a baby that will grow up to be kind and follows the baby while it grows up and destroys anything that harms the person it loves. When the person dies it lays its egg and burns itself up. The day before the new person it will love is born its egg hatches.

Seyne

Selah, age 10

I have made a Scrugeo!!!

A Scrugeo lives in swampy lands and its wings help it to fly. A head can grow back if it is cut off but if the legs get cut off one of the eyes disappears before the leg can grow back. The dripping poison on the fangs gets stronger when a head is cut off.

You would not want to meet one in a swamp unless you have a gift of treasure to win its friendship.
