It’s selfie-time! At least, that’s what visitors to Newport Beach, California, think. It’s not every day they get to snap pictures of themselves with thousands of red mini crabs!
The tiny crabs washed up all over beaches in Orange County. Usually they live farther south. But this year, a warm patch of water is drawing them north. Scientists call this mysterious warm patch “The Blob.”
Only one to three inches long, the crabs aren’t good for eating. But they are quite a sight to see!
