Steve Charles loaded up his truck as quickly as he could, piling dog boxes onto the back. A fire raged nearby. Hundreds of sled dogs needed rescuing.

Mr. Charles lives in Willow, Alaska. Usually the weather in Alaska is icy and cold. But right now, it’s very dry. A fire started on Sunday, June 14. It spread fast. At least 25 homes burned.

Soon Mr. Charles got back to his house. But then his neighborhood was in danger of catching fire! Mr. Charles and his sled dog, Bridger, had to go to another city to be safe.

God cares about His creation. You can pray for the people in Alaska who have lost their homes. You can pray for the sled dogs too!
