On Sunday April 12, thousands of Filipinos gathered together. They had three records to break.

One: Largest Reunion of People Born in the Same Hospital. Where were you born? Can you imagine standing with people of all ages who were born in the same place? In Pasig City, 1,221 people gathered in a mall. All were born at the Medical City hospital. The old record was set in Hong Kong. The Filipinos beat it by more than two hundred people.

Two: Most People Gargling with Mouthwash at the Same Time. Would you gargle mouthwash with a bunch of people you’ve never met? The Filipinos did! By sunset, thousands of Filipinos had gathered south of Manila. According to organizers, more than 2,000 people gargled away. They beat the Canadian record of 1,974.

Three: Eating a 12-inch Pizza Fastest. Until April 12, Burbank, California held the fastest-pizza-eating record. The winner ate the pizza in 41.31 seconds. But the Philippines winner claims to have eaten the pizza in 23 seconds. That’s almost half the time!
