Imagine this. You are 101 years old. What are you doing? Are you throwing a discus? Are you hurling a javelin or softball?

Right now, John Zilverberg is doing all those things at the National Senior Games in Minnesota. Mr. Zilverberg is a retired rancher from South Dakota. In August, he will turn 102.

See the medals hanging behind Mr. Zilverberg? He has been winning them in the Senior Games for 30 years.

“Since I retired from the ranch I do exercises to keep my arms in shape,” he told KSFY Television. But the competition isn’t as tough as it used to be. Everyone he competes against is over 100 years old!
