Darwin the Labrador was no good as a service dog for people. He was too hyper. But now Darwin has a new job. He’s a snail sniffer.
An intruder has come to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador: the giant African land snail. The 7.8-inch snails damage pineapple, pepper, carrot, banana, and coffee crops. They also spread diseases to humans. To top it all off, they’re hard to catch.
Hard for people, that is. For Darwin, sniffing out these prowlers is no problem.
All of God’s creatures have a good purpose—even Darwin the dog!
