Have you ever been snowed in? If you have, you know how helpful it can be when somebody shovels your driveway.

Some people are too old or sick to shovel. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone just came along and volunteered to do all that work for them?

Jacob Gale lives in Illinois, a place that gets plenty of snow. In his neighborhood, people were charging $15 or $20 to shovel driveways. Jacob got an idea. He could do that shoveling himself, for free! On January 6, he spent all day shoveling. He didn’t accept any money.

Acts 9 talks about a woman named Dorcas who was “full of good works.” That means she did all kinds of helpful things for others. Maybe it’s time for you to brainstorm. How many helpful things could you do for the people God put around you? Probably a million and one! Be creative. No idea is too small!
