You only get 200 words. So you will have to choose each one carefully. If you write the best essay, you win this beautiful inn in Maine.

A woman named Janice Sage got ownership of the Lovell Inn & Restaurant by writing an essay. Out of 5,000 essays, hers won. Janice worked hard at the inn for more than 20 years. Now she is ready to retire. She started her own contest. Thousands of people sent in essays. In each essay, the writer had to tell why he or she would like to own and operate a country inn. After months of careful reading, Ms. Sage has chosen her winner. She will announce the winner’s name next week.

Each essay writer had to pay $125 to enter the contest. That means Ms. Sage could receive as much as $900,000. She plans to use that money to retire.
